where have you been

Hey guys! Ohh geez where have I been. I've been taking a short break from blogging and sewing! I feel so out of the loop with fashion news. lol Well I'm back! I'll be back to sewing as well. I've been out with friends a lot lately.I'm going to New York September 8th Im so excited the new school im transferring to already invited online students to a workshop with portfolio reviews and hopefully I receive a ticket for Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week that students from my school the Academy of Art University will be designing in. Even though its not Micheal Kors or Marc Jacobs or someone its still New York Fashion Week and I hope I go Im so excited!!!

Even though I haven't been blogging or anything I've still been playing with makeup and taking pictures!!! Lots of pictures. I colored my eyebrows white, made myself into a superhero and just had fun! ha I dont really care if people think im weird or wonder what am I doing! In the mean time I'll be working on more stuff for my portfolio to show when I go to New York.



Now I just tell my friends Its all for the sake of FASHION :D good enough excuse right?

Unexpected

I wasn't expecting to pair polka dots, a denim shirt and cheetah print together but I did! These pants are super comfortable I love them. I didn't wear these shoes that often at first because they would hurt my feet. This time around wearing them wasn't so bad I guess i just had to break them in. :)

two for one

Hello! I visited the Holocaust Museum in Richmond Virginia over the weekend its about an hour and a little bit more from where I live. Me and my friends went and we had a good time there at the mall and Ruby Tuesday. The museum all gave us the wow factor. I wish we would have gotten there earlier to watch the video that they had but we still walked around the whole thing and took lots of pictures.

The post is called two for one because I'm posting both outfits I wore over the weekend! :D

Shower Curtain Dress

Hello all! I made this dress that I'm wearing! I wore it to my cousins wedding. I made the dress out of a shower curtain that I found in the thrift store. I doubled over the fabric well shower curtain so that it wouldn't show through and so it would be appropriate for a wedding! I wanted it to be really long but since I had to double it over it was a little bit over my knees and I cut it. I paired it with a vintage beaded clutch I think I got it from my great aunt. Anyway the wedding was nice it made me want to get married :( lol. I'd get married now if I could! ha I'm still sewing and working on more stuff TTYL

I got this dress while thrifting! It was only $2 and I love it. I named this post "227" after the TV show 227. I felt like I should have been on that show while wearing this dress or sometime in the 80s lol. I wore these shoes basically all day and surprisingly  my feet weren't hurting that bad. I just feel like my Achilles tendon is gonna fall off every time I wear them lol. Anyway today was pretty swell. Church and then I went to see a play called "five on the black hand side" it was AWESOME :D. The two main characters even attend my church! Also Im working on more pieces and I added a "MY STUFF" section to my pages. Which has everything I've made for sale :D here

Hand it over!

Hey guys I'm officially a fashion design student!! Im so excited! im transferring from my old school The Art Institute of Virginia Beach where I was majoring in Fashion and Retail Managment to The Academy of Art University in San Fransisco! Im going to be taking it online right now until I figure stuff out. The good thing about taking it online is that I can travel and do internships! Im trying to get an internship anywhere especially one that pays! lol

Anyway still sewing and sketching and other things. Thanks for all the lovely comments. Im thinking about doing my first giveaway! I've never done one before. Also I've added pages to my blog now. I got this dress from my best friends mom. I wore it when I took my niece and nephews to chucke cheeses! We had a blast :D
